The patented permanent magnet motor, with an axial rotor, known as the EC motor was perfected for use Specifically on Koi Pond filter systems.
With it's unique three speed settings, Whether the New Badu Eco Touch is used at the low speed or middle speed for filter operation or for filter backwashing at high speed, the preset stages always provide for optimal pump performance in terms of both economy and ecology, Simply Brilliant!, the less the pump speed the less it costs to run.
In addition to the built in control panel, the Speck Badu Eco touch pump can be controlled externally via a seperate control interface panel.

 Speck Badu Top 42 Series Pumps
The Speck Badu Top 42 Series Pumps are a very robust, reliable and versatile range of pumps. The two pumps in the range are the 42/5 and 42/8 capable of moving up to 3300 gallons per hour at a 4m head. Originally designed as jet pumps for use with whirlpools and spa's, these pumps are virtually silent in operation and are designed to deliver performance and reliability.
These pumps can be used in conjunction with a strainer basket (which we would recommend) or can be used without.
