| Cloverleaf Genesis MK II 10000 6-Bay Filter System
Although all “Cloverleaf” multi bay filters are sturdily constructed (with most suitable for use below ground level), the Genesis Mk 2 range is built like a battleship, and as a consequence can be placed in locations requiring backfilling. With the range being suitable for large ponds special design large multi bay configurations are possible – subject to negotiation.
This drawing illustrates the general design concept to both the Cloverleaf “CL” and “Genesis” range. As can be seen key beneficial features are numerous, starting from the principles of up and down flow through the tanks thereby keeping the water in contact with the mediums for as long as possible. Apart from the advantageous separation and settlement of solids in the vortex bay, the generation of an “upflow” and the incorporation of settlement areas (with drain down valves) ensures that the filtration mediums stay cleaner for longer – thus promoting larger colonies of beneficial bacteria, and by default thereby establishing a healthier pond environment. The thoughtful design layout of the vertical transfer ports also provides the highly useful bonus of being able to incorporate air stones (where desired) without the need for the pond to appear similar to a witch’s cauldron.

The Genesis Mk 2 – 6 Bay filter system will cater for Koi ponds up to 5,000 gallons (22,500 litres) or Goldfish ponds up to 10,000 gallons (45,000 litres). The Genesis MK II 10000 Filter Sytem concept of design, function, and filtration mediums, is again generally all as specified for the “Genesis” and “CL” range (as described elsewhere). Filter Mediums can be to the customers specific specifications, subject to approval.
In general the standard media configuration is Bay 1, used as a primary Vortex settlement chamber, Bay 2 is contains Filter Brushes as a second settlement chamber, Bay 3 and 4 is the first biological stage containing Japanese Matting, By 5 is used as additonal biological filtration containing Flocor and Bay 6 is the final biological stage containing Aquarock/Alfagrog with a multi-layer foam to deal with fine particles before returng the water to the pond.
