 Cloverleaf Genesis 3500 Pond Filter
The “Genesis” range of multi bay in-line filtration systems are available in 3 sizes, and whilst generally emulating the design concept and standards of the “CL” range they are better suited to the mixed ornamental pond, or the small Koi pond where high fish loads are not present. The range offers very good value for money, and with its neat design and low height is hardly ever obtrusive in any garden setting. Filtration mediums are the same as the “CL” range, with only genuine Japanese matting being used where applicable.
Yet again the Genesis system can be installed in tandem, or in addition can make a super secondary system when connected to a skimmer unit. The well engineered “Genesis” range is second to none. Indeed when and if any of the “Genesis” range is coupled to a Cloverleaf Fluidised Bed, then the end result offers a powerful punch for the discerning pondkeeper.
As the drawing illustrates the general design concept to both the Cloverleaf “CL” and “Genesis” range. As can be seen key beneficial features are numerous, starting from the principles of up and down flow through the tanks thereby keeping the water in contact with the mediums for as long as possible. Apart from the advantageous separation and settlement of solids in the vortex bay, the generation of an “upflow” and the incorporation of settlement areas (with drain down valves) ensures that the filtration mediums stay cleaner for longer – thus promoting larger colonies of beneficial bacteria, and by default thereby establishing a healthier pond environment. The thoughtfully designed layout of the vertical transfer ports also provides the highly useful bonus of being able to incorporate air stones (where desired) without the need for the pond to appear similar to a witch’s cauldron.
Cloverleaf Genesis 3500 Pond Filter Dimensions:
The CLoverleaf Geneisis 3500 is suitable for Koi ponds up to 1,750 gallons (7875 litres), or Goldfish ponds up to 3,500 gallons (15,750 litres). This 3 Bay unit comprises of a first stage vortex bay, with Bay 2 being fitted with mechanical brushes, and Bay 3 serving as the main biological/mechanical stage - incorporating foam and the highly proclaimed aqua rock/alfagrog. Again this unit is also very useful if fed from a skimmer unit on a larger pond.
