 Ozone Micro Cell
The Ozone Micro Cell is an eagerly awaited revolutionary device for maintaining optimum water quality within your pond. The fact is that Ozone possesses loads of highly valuable Characteristics:

To date, however, Ozone has been prohibitively expensive. Nor has it's use been 100% safe. Conventional Ozone generators produce Ozone from oxygen in the air. In order to do it's job, the Ozone then needs to be mixed with water, in a process that requires a huge amount of energy. Because some of the Ozone goes to waste, the generator produces more Ozone than is strictly required, to make sure that enough of it reacts with the water. As a result, too much Ozone may end up in the pondwater resulting in a dangerous overdose for the fish living in the pond. In order to prevent this, a second unit needs to be installed alongside the Ozone generator that is capable of breaking down the excess Ozone. All in all, it's a process thats not just pretty complex, but extremely expensive.
Alternatively, Ozone can be created with the aid of UV lamps like a Uvox lamp. This is a popular solution, although it remains an expensive business. It does have the advantage of being less dangerous than generator-based production, although it still involves producing Ozone from the air.
The Ozone Micro Cell, on the other hand, produces Ozone from water. A process of electrolysis is used to break down water into it's two component parts: Oxygen and Hydrogen. The Ozone Micro Cell also releases single oxygen atoms (0 rather 02 atoms) that instantly conbine with oxygen molecules (02) to form ozone (03).
Ozone is a highly reactive substance and tries to revert straightaway to it's original form, thus causing the extra oxygen atom to react with the organic substance such as nitrite, a colourant, algae, or a virus, which are then 'incinerated' by oxidation. The substance that remains after this oxidation process is pure oxygen. The Ozone leaves the Ozone Micro Cell in the form of tiny bubbles of gas. This is the great advantage of a successful wtare-based reaction. The smaller the bubbles, the better.
In short, the Ozone Micro Cell is a completely new method of producing Ozone. Moreover it is totally safe, as the Ozone is produced from water rather than from air. It's also many times cheaper than the conventional method. It's very easy to install: the unit is just 28cm long and takes just five minutes to fit in a 50 or 63mm PVC pipe. Most "old-fashioned" Ozone generators are small chemical laboritories in their own right, which is another big difference. FInally, the Ozone Micro Cell consumes very little power, just 2 or 4 watts, which means that the running costs are negligible.
